What is data and information? How is the trend changing to search for information?

Web-data is growing at the rate of 10^9 GB per year. Meaningful data is information. We need information and not data. So, in other words all the data that is available may not be meaningful for the user. It may or may not related to the user’s query. When any user tries to search for any information multiple sources are available which can fetch the results for the requested query. Furthermore, there may be multiple results displayed by a single source. The multiple results displayed are more or less similar. This adds up to the confusion. It becomes very difficult to choose the best option from the available choices then.
This is where Anti- search auto recommendation comes into picture.
Many a times, the queries remain the same. For example: Nearest Restaurant or nearest pub if it’s a weekend. So wouldn’t it be convenient if a user gets to know the results as and when he/she comes in the vicinity of such places through some kind of notification on mobile device? Well, how comfortable would it be for the user if there are certain reviews also available about the restaurant so that selection of which restaurant to visit becomes easier.
This can avoid the confusion of searching to a great extent. It will save the efforts and time as well.

Mobiles and Electronics: Often we need mobile/laptop repairing centres or mobile shop for buying a new mobile.
Shopping and Sale: Women’s area of search mostly. Can get to know about the shopping centres related to handbags, accessories, cosmetics, jewellery in the nearby places. Also notifications of the sale if any are given to the user.     



Many more categories are there which make life pretty convenient.

  2. with plenty of well known LBS apps already available in the market who are offering all these services which have been mentioned you being provided by tomo.....why would anyone go for it rather using those well established and tested apps?

    1. It is true that well known LBS apps are already there in the market but almost all of them need user input time and again. TOMO uses the anti-search i.e searching based on user preference which is given only once and then pushes the notification to the mobile device as and when the user is in the vicinity.
